Perspective Mazes are a new unit we did this year to learn to draw the illusion of depth. We looked at Medieval mazes made of hedges for our inspiration:
7th Grade Graffiti Unit - Students discuss graffiti and the history of man making his mark somewhere, even the pyramid tomb builders in Ancient Egypt left painted and carved names into the tomb walls! Students go to cooltext.com and choose several styles of lettering to print their name in, then draw the name larger and learn to mix paint colors with white, or black to make it look like there is a reflection on the graffiti surface. Students also learn to draw the sides of the letters to look 3-D:
